  1. The grid starts with some lights on.
  2. Tap any light: it and its orthogonal neighbors (above, below, left, right) switch state.
  3. The goal is to have all the lights off at the same time.
  4. Try to solve it in the fewest moves. Every board has a solution.

Controls by input type

  • Mouse/touch: tap the light you want to toggle.
  • Keyboard: use Tab to move through the lights and Enter or Space to toggle the one in focus.

Tips

  • Tapping the same light twice undoes the move: a tap is its own inverse.
  • A common tactic: clear row by row, top to bottom, tapping the row below to fix the row above.
  • The order of taps doesn't matter for the final result, only the set of lights tapped.
